“ Visited Jan '25 - came all the way to Alana's for the mushroom and vegan cheese croissant. This was my third visit back and second time having the croissant. Of everything I've tried, it's easily my favorite and worth swinging by for. Unfortunately, they don't always have it and I would prefer to call before going in that direction but, I don't believe the number works as I don't get an answer. However, I LOVE this croissant and I'm not at all vegan. It MUST be HOT, not warm, hot. That's how you get the full experience. I'm working my way through the menu to find a latte I love. The chai matcha latte is ok (wish they had just a chai latte). It's a cute coffee shop inside but small, the lovely part is the backyard style patio. Parking is easy, right off the side of the building but gets full fast. Staff is always lovely. ”
“ Alana's coffee I bet is a staple among the Venice community. It feels like it has been standing for years. As I was pulling into their private parking lot, I could not only smell the amazing coffee aroma but I could hear that coffee roasting process was in full progress which was sooooooo awesome! The service was super friendly. The lavender latte was delicious. The coffee shop was full of people doing work or school stuff which shows that it is a place to just come and hang out and enjoy! I will be back for sure!!! ”
“ This is my go-to coffee shop in the MDR/Venice/Mar Vista neighborhood. They roast a variety of their own beans including some single origin options. Buy a bag and get a free coffee. I also love to order the Chipotle Mocha which isn't too sweet and has the perfect kick. Some people I have brought also like the mushroom coffee (not for coffee lovers though) Small free lot, metered street parking or walk a block for neighborhood street parking. There is a little seating inside and outside ”
“ Alana's is easily one of my favorite coffee spots in LA, if not all of Venice. They have an incredible pastry selection - from their mouthwatering chorizo hand-pies to the flaky, guava-filled croissants. Honestly, I could close my eyes and randomly choose anything, confident it will be absolutely delicious, whether it's one of their tasty lattes or another pastry. Service is always great and the owner is such a cool, chill guy! Can't wait to return. ”
“ This place is incredible - fresh roasted beans, yes, please! They have plenty of parking and an outside patio. We ordered the gingerbread latte, seasonal, of course, and an iced latte. They roast our own beans in house, so everything is fresh and packaged. There's more seating inside as well. The service is exceptional. Can't wait to come back again. Pro tip : the patio outside has plenty of space and pet friendly. Plenty of parking as well. ”
“ Real coffee shops are back! This place felt straight out of a movie. The decor is modern, yet homey. The workers and customers are SO friendly. Multiple people seemed to be regulars, so they asked each other about things going on in their lives. I got the gingerbread latte and it was delicious! I wish there was more of a coffee flavor but next time I'll get a flat white. There are also comfy benches and outlets to get work done but the seats fill up FAST. ”
“ Absolutely loved my experience at Alana's Coffee Roasters! The staff was incredibly knowledgeable and provided me with a delightful tasting of multiple coffees. Their passion for coffee really shines through. I ended up taking home a bag of their Ethiopian coffee, and it's fantastic. Highly recommend for anyone looking to explore great coffee! Great environment, perfect ambiance to sit and relax as well ”
“ I love to come here and do some work. They have a great outdoor patio area with some shade but there's also indoor seats too. It looked pretty crowded when I went and it makes sense because the vibe is very friendly, the matcha latte is delicious and the wifi is strong. The inside is very air conditioned so given the hot days, the inside was packed. There are not any outlets in the patio area from what I saw so keep that in mind and come with a fully charged laptop. Then you can chill outside, do some work and enjoy the vibes. Parking: They have a small lot which can be filled up so you may have to look for street parking. It wasn't too bad when I went but a lot of it is 2 hr only. ”
“ Tl;dr: Amazing place to get really good coffee and hang out/chat, not so much if you're trying to look for a place to work or get easily overstimulated. Drinks: -Hot latte with 2% milk (5/5): Opted for 2% milk because I was too stubborn to pay $1 extra for alternative milk. It was delicious and the barista even made a fancy swan latte art! -Pour over (5/5): The one we tried this day seemed to have some notes of dark chocolate and cherry, but I also could be completely wrong. It was great nonetheless. Food: -Saw some pastry options and other small items such as overnight oats. Their pastries look similar, if not identical, to that of another coffee branch, which I've tried multiple times and had not been impressed with, so I opted out this time. Service: -Friendly and fast, but gosh is it super chaotic. As soon as someone orders, the person working the cash register would yell out the order to the staff working in the back or at the espresso machine. I wish they had a more low key way to handle orders, but I guess this is what they've been doing and a system that they like. There were a few tables inside, but I personally know I would get absolutely no work done inside with all of the constant noise. You could also see someone roasting the beans to the side, so that is pretty cool. -Dog friendly. The cash register gave us a dog treat as soon as we walked up to the counter when he saw we had a dog, which was really nice!! Ambiance: Extremely loud and chaotic inside. Pretty small and crowded, so it can quickly get overwhelming if you're not used to it. There are tables outside both in the front and back. The back is a lot more quiet, though it could still feel pretty crowded because the tables are pretty close to each other and there are a lot of people chatting while enjoying their coffee. Overall, a nice place to hang out and chat, but not really an ideal place to work. I saw some people enjoying their coffee while reading. ”
